De Volewijckers were a famous football team in The Netherlands in the fifties and sixties. They were the pride of Amsterdam- Noord. The mascotte (look in the bottom at the right) of the team was a goat.

Assemblage. Wooden box with several vintage items. Like the book with Dutch Poets “Grooten Dichters van den Laatsten Tijd” and a little Dutch-German dictionary. Background is formed by a piece of “letterbak”. 45x25x20cm/18x10x8inch.

American Aquarium
My studio’s are in Hazerswoude and Leidschendam but my hometown is Leiden. And next week American Aquarium is playing in Leiden. That’s the simple explanation for the name of this handmade collage (20x30cm/8x12inch). Central is a illustration from a French book from the sixties: Histoires d’enfants et d’animaux. With several other vintage images from books from the sixties and seventies.
