My dog friend Willem is spending his holiday with me. He inspired me to make this assemblage although he is more interested in the surroundings of my studio. On the picture you can see him overlooking his hunting ground. The assemblage is made in a drawer with inlay of a piece of a wooden play by Homas and some scrapwood. The frame with portrait was found in an old house and the dog in the bottom is probably from the fifties or sixties and in better days it could move around.
Little Deer
Made this little box a while ago but forgot to place it on my site. Found the back of the box in the woods of East Belgium. SOLD it a few days ago in De Tuin van de Smid on the border of Leiden. Little Deer is one of my favorites and by putting it on my site it will still stay with me. Picture made by Rob Vlieland Fotografie.

Exposition in Tuin van de Smid
Little altar for mademoiselle Martin
Assemblage. 40x25x10cm/16x10x4inch. Wooden drawer slightly rebuilt with various belongings of mademoiselle Martin for her last voyage. At the bottom a vintage Fernande Desgranges handbag found in the streets of hometown Leiden-Holland. Just found out on internet that they ask € 100,– for it. Bad luck. Everything for the art of Hannemann.
It’s hard to make pictures of the assemblage. So I made a collage of four pictures with different angles. Still it’s hard to see the objects in the back.
Statuette of a hunting animal in a futuristic setting
Assemblage. 30x30x10cm/12x12x4inch. Statuette of a hunting animal in an old wooden drawer that is slightly rebuilt. With an inlay of various wooden blinds. With a souvenir of Lourdes, part of a map of Ireland in a small wooden frame. In the upper part you will find a tool used in elementary schools to teach the young pupils counting.
