Assemblage made with parts of scrapwood and driftwood found in Leiden and Vennemeer-Rijpwetering. Pictures from different angles (50x35x15cm-20x14x6inch). Wood is burned, cleaned and party wood-stained.
The title refers to two pictures taken from a album of 1959. The pictures are placed in a corner and are hardly visible on the pictures. Assemblage include two wooden souvenir men from Austria, a cow bell from Tirol and other souvenirs.
Old box from a carpenter studio. Scrap wood found in Zaanse Schans and Leiden. Father Karel was a gift and parts of a tube radio. Father Karel was born in 1821 in Munstergeleen (Limburg-The Netherlands) and died in Dublin-Ireland 1893. He was a Dutch father in in the so called Congregatie der Passionisten.
55x40x10cm (22x16x4inch). Box made out of scrapwood found near my home and in Noordwijk. The record player comes from a suit case record player from the fifties. The 78 rpm record is by the Straatzangers (Max van Praag en Willy Alberti) who were world famous in the Netherlands more then half a century ago. The title is De Schooier en zijn Hond. The bums and dog come from flea markets.
44x40x9cm (18x16x4inch). With a colour picture of former player Benningshof and a postcard of the Huygensstraat of 1934 leading to “Het Kasteel”, the stadium of Sparta, the oldest football club in The Netherlands (1888). Found the wooden box in an antique store near Leiden, the inlay is scrapwood from Zaanse Schans. The pins refer to the old scoreboard. For every goal a pin. Also used a tube from a tube radio.

Parts of an old chair from a church, scrapwood from the Zaanstreek, parts of a dead tree from Schakenbosch, deers, front of a thirties speaker in the back, parts of a tube radio above and left and right two test tubes that will be filled with vodka.
